Bruny Island Safaris offer adventure tours of Bruny Island, Southern Tasmania.
Bruny Island's beauty and bounty abounds with magical views at every turn, across Adventure Bay, The Southern Ocean, The Tasman Sea and to the snow peaked mountain ranges of Southern Tasmania.
Much of the Island's East Coast is dominated by towering sea cliffs, shearwaters and penguin rookeries, shipwrecks and sweeping sandy beaches.
Cross to an Island of contrasts. Stops include The Adventure Bay Lookout overlooking the Tasman Sea, possibly the highest sand dune on Bruny, home of the Truganini monument. Also visiting the Bligh Museum, Mount Mangana and Cape Bruny Lighthouse, the last accessible and remote vantage point to see the migration of the Humpback and Southern Right whales and shipping into the Southern Ocean. See salmon and oyster farms, enjoy short walks land sweeping vistas while discovering Echidnas, Wallabies, wildflowers and unique birdlife that abound throughout the Island.

Tour founder Craig Parsey spent a large part of his childhood years living on light stations around Tasmania with his light keeper parents and sisters, including two years at Cape Bruny Lightstation.

- Bruny Island Safaris Tour
The tour departs Hobart by 0700 via the Channel Highway arriving at Kettering/Bruny Island ferry terminal. The ferry departs at 0745 arriving on Bruny by 0800. The tour begins as we visit the narrow neck connecting North and South Bruny Island. On to Adventure Bay lookout, The Hummock - home of the Truganini Lookout and an earlier indigenous place.
Next we arrive at Adventure Bay and Captain Cook monument with a stop for morning tea at the Bruny Island Berry Farm. Travel the Mount Mangana Trail, passing Cloudy Bay on to Cape Bruny Lighthouse - the last accessible vantage point to see the migration of the Humpback and Southern Right Whales and an important Navigational point for vessels at sea.
Then North bound to Alonnah, stopping at Hotel Bruny for ‘LUNCH ON US'. In the afternoon we stop off at the Cheese Company, Get Shucked Oysters and BISH to sample Bruny Island Oysters, cheeses, smoked salmon and Bruny Island wine. Cellar door cheese tasting, oyster tasting and berry samples all inclusive. Enjoy short walks and sweeping vistas while discovering Echidnas, Wallabies, wildflowers and unique birdlife that abound throughout the Island.
Departing Bruny Island at 1600 stopping off at Nutpatch Nougat Chocolates in Kettering before heading into Hobart. Returning at 1800.
