Cabins, teepees, camping and bushwalks in an extensive private habitat reserve, Huon Bush Retreats is central to all the attractions of the Huon Valley just a 50-minute drive from Hobart. The multi award-winning, carbon positive, green globe light accredited retreat offers contemporary, self-contained cabins, deluxe teepees and private campsites, each in its own individual setting surrounded by Tasmanian native forest.

Relax by the fire with a glass of local wine or take in the view from the deck surrounded by native birds and wildlife. With five kilometres of interpreted walking tracks through rainforest, to a hidden waterfall or a mountain top, you will not miss internet or television here. Your cabin is comfortably catered for with gas cooking facilities, fresh rainwater, 12 volt solar electric supply, an eco-friendly composting toilet, a cosy wood heater and a private outdoor bath.

Huon Bush Retreats offers a true retreat; access is via a four-kilometre winding gravel road with a steep 500 metre section. There is lots of wildlife so please drive slowly.
