Piners Loft offers self-contained accommodation in Strahan on Tasmania's wild West Coast. This multi-level pole house of native and recycled timbers is spacious and welcoming. There are three bedrooms (two with queen beds, one with two singles) and a well-equipped kitchen and laundry. Bathroom facilities include a bath and shower, an outside shower, and two separate toilets. With its huge King Billy and celery top pine poles, blackwood beams, recycled timber doors, windows and floorboards and Huon pine kitchen, Piners Loft is a feast of timber. There is a large bush garden filled with native birds. Located across the road from Macquarie Harbour, Piners Loft is your ideal base for exploring the wild beauty of Tasmania's West Coast, an area of magnificent temperate rainforests, wild coastline, rivers and wilderness. It is a short walk to the shopping centre, the cruise boats and the wilderness railway and only a short drive to the magnificent Ocean Beach. Cruise the Gordon River or ride the historic train through rugged mountain wilderness or enjoy the experience of 42 kms of deserted beach. Macquarie Harbour is the gateway to the World Heritage Areas of Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park and the Southwest National Parks. Strahan is a scenic drive from all of Tasmania's major airports and the Spirit of Tasmania ferry.
