Award-winning Woodbridge is a Heritage-listed Georgian riverfront mansion. Built by convicts in 1825, and restored in 2005, it was judged the best Tasmanian restoration and best Australian restoration 2005, 2006. The Woodbridge Tasmania Boutique Hotel is a seamless blend of 200 years of this history with modern amenity and comfort. Guests platypus spot while enjoying breakfast, a snack or dinner in the riverfront Pavilion which serves local seasonal produce, award-winning local wines, whisky, gin, vodka and ales. Relax by the fireplace in the Reading Room or Ballroom, and enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and fruit in the Salon. Kayaks are available, and adjacent riverside parklands offer delightful walks. Or do some serious wilderness walking nearby, and then unwind in our sauna and jacuzzi. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, heating/fans/air-conditioning, ensuite bathrooms, and river views and most have open wood fireplaces. The Woodbridge is situated in the heart of the picturesque Derwent Valley. Just 30 minutes to Hobart, it is 45 minutes from airport, 15 minute from Mona and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, minutes from the historic Salmon Ponds and the Agrarian Kitchen, and a short drive to Mt Field National Park, wineries, distilleries, microbreweries, antique shops and art facilities.
