A background scene with rustic buildings, at the bottom in the foreground are three small protraits
George Town Historical Society and Lighthouse Regional Arts are very pleased to present "Retrospective: The Art Of Jean Cook" Jean Cook lived a long and interesting life. Early life in Launceston saw her instructing art in schools, being involved in the social scene of 1930's Tasmania and holidaying with family in "remote" Low Head. She travelled overseas and had a career in the UK. On her eventual return to Tasmania, she and her family settled permanently in Low Head. It was here she had her art studio, and it was here that the art works on show were discovered in storage.
