Tasmania I Drive - Port Arthur Historic Site Day Tour

Travel to the Tasman Peninsula to visit the World Heritage listed Port Arthur Historic Site. We will stop along the way at Eaglehawk Neck to observe the geological feature known as the Tessellated Pavement and to visit the Pirates Bay Lookout. We then make our way down to historic Port Arthur. This is the Penitentiary where convicts were transported from England to Van Diemen’s Land, as it was called many years ago. You will join a 45-minute guided tour and also incorporated in your ticket price is a boat trip on the harbour to see the Isle of the Dead. There will be ample time to explore the site at your leisure. We will also visit some other amazing geological features in the area named The Devils Kitchen and Tasman Arch before beginning the 90-minute return to Hobart.
