Sullivans Cove Distillery
Sullivans Cove Distillery was established in 1994, after 153 years of prohibition imposed by Governor John Franklin at the urging of his wife Lady Jane – who was pro-temperance. The distillery was founded in Sullivans Cove, Hobart on the Derwent River and from humble beginnings twenty years later, the distillery received the ultimate reassurance that they were onto something good, winning ‘Worlds Best Single Malt’ in the 2014 World Whiskies Awards (WWA). In 2018 the distillery backed this award up with another 'World's Best' award, this time for their American Oak Single Cask Single Malt Whisky at the WWA.
Sullivans Cove is the quintessential small-batch luxury whisky. Inspired by nature and ‘Distilled With Conviction’. Made with traditional methods using only the purest Tasmanian ingredients, each barrel is individually bottled to capture subtle variations and the result is one of the best whiskies on the market.
Specialising in Single Malt Whisky, Sullivans Cove now also applies its expertise to other premium spirits such as brandy, gin and vodka.
Now located in Cambridge, just outside Hobart the distillery welcomes guests seven days a week.
