Guided Walking Group Packages - Luxury Four Wheel Drive Tours
Explore Flinders Island by foot and discover the history and beauty surrounding this island. A couple or a group of up to 16, you can choose the length of your adventure between two and eight days.
Special interest group packages to enjoy the birds of Bass Strait, wildflowers in season, wildlife or history can be arranged. Luxury four wheel drive tours will take you off the beaten track to places visitors rarely see.
With over 120 beaches and mountains to 756 metres, you can swim in the clear blue water, walk over red granite rocks, fish for your dinner and visit mutton bird rookeries. You may even like to search for the famous 'Killiecrankie diamond,' a type of hard colourless topaz.
Mutton Bird Sunset Cruise Tour
From November to March yearly, watch mutton birds return to the islands of the Furneax Group. Also known as short-tailed shearwaters, millions of these birds return from the Northern Hemisphere to nest and raise their young.
This tour takes you on 'Strait Lady,' a 10-metre luxury cruiser, out among the off-shore islands. From here, you will have the perfect view of mutton birds coming in. Thousands will return to their nests at dusk with food they have gathered to feed their young.
Full Day 4WD Island Adventure Tour
Enjoy a full day exploring Flinders Island in a luxury four wheel drive. This full-day tour will take you off the beaten track in the comfort of a GXL Toyota Landcruiser to places visitors rarely see. Experienced guides will point out the wildlife and share with you the fascinating history of the islands. The tour includes morning tea and lunch. You will be collected and dropped off to your accommodation or the airport. Two passengers are required to experience this exciting full-day tour.
Half day four wheel drive tours are available on request.
Flinders Island Fishing
Close to the continental shelf, Flinders Island has superb fishing opportunities. Catch yellowfin tuna offshore or cast off the beaches and reel in a flathead. Group fishing packages include your airfares, two-day boat charters, two nights accommodation twin-share, continental breakfast and delicious lunches.
A vibrant fishing community, local fishermen harvest the best in crayfish, abalone, scallops and giant crabs. Warm currents around the islands are home to many different species of fish.
A package can be tailored for groups, to suit their fishing interests. We offer two to four day group fishing packages which include boats, fishing gear and cottage accommodation.
