We are a 100 year old hotel located in the world-famous mountain biking town of Derby, Tasmania, located 1 hour 20 minutes from Launceston. Offering accommodation, meals, bar & bottle shop sales, laundromat and secure bike storage. The newly renovated accommodation consists of 6 twin rooms, one double room and two queen rooms with shared bathroom facilities. If you are after a bit more privacy, we also offer two ensuite queen rooms. All rooms include a continental breakfast daily. Mountain biking groups often book out the whole hotel. Serving hearty, delicious meals are prepared by local chefs who source fresh, local Tasmanian meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables. We also showcase local beer, cider and spirits in our bar. We are only a 2-minute pedal to the trailhead of the Blue Derby trail network, the Blue Derby pump track and Australia's only Floating Sauna. Derby has a rich tin mining history with a local museum, local walks and drives to relics of the tin mining close by. There are also many waterfalls to explore nearby. We are an excellent half way stopover if you are en route to the beautiful North East Coast from Launceston.
