Only 23 minutes from Devonport, Railton Hotel is the ideal stopover when disembarking from the Spirit of Tasmania. Situated on the scenic route to Cradle Mountain, the 'Town of Topiary' is central to the Wild Mersey Mountain Bike trails. The hotel is only a three minute ride to the Wild Mersey Mountain Bike Park Railton trailhead and Pump Track. The first hotel was built in 1858. Early days saw mainly farmers and timber workers as the main patrons. The railway line was completed in 1885 and the present hotel was rebuilt on the same site after a fire in 1910. Railton Hotel has seven standard and family rooms with shared bathroom facilities, that can accommodate up to 18 guests. Rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, electric blankets, heating and television. Camping with guest shower and bathroom facilities is available at the rear of the Pub, in addition to ample car parking. Secure Mountain Bike storage also available. You can enjoy counter meals in the heritage pub, as well as a round at the pool table. The Oregon Room seats up to 30 people and can be booked for functions.
