The Platypus Pad is a fully self-contained PLATYPUS-themed 'tiny home' hidden away in leafy Park Grove in Burnie. It's set back from the road, in its own secluded garden (behind the primary residence) complete with a fernery, frog ponds, deck and a Barbeque area. The owner of the Platypus Pad is a platypus expert, conducting local platypus ecotours. This accommodation was built for wildlife filmmakers, photographers and scientists while in town. Private guests are also welcomed to experience this special place. The garden is full of herbs, berries & Tasmanian wild food plants.
