Bicheno
The Log Cabin General Store is an iconic General Trading Store serving Bicheno and the wider East Coast Community and holidaymakers, as a one-stop shop for homewares, camping, fishing, gifts, hardware, stationery, and art supplies. The Log Cabin has a nursery including plants and trees, seeds and bulbs, pots, potting mix and mulch, garden decor and gardening essentials. The Visitor Centre is now located inside the Log Cabin and is accessible 7 days a week. Souvenirs can also be purchased and the friendly staff are happy to assist with any information you require. Local maps and brochures can also be collected here. Wander around the wheelchair accessible store and be amazed at some of the products you can find. The business tries to source Tasmanian products so if you are looking for a local gift this is the place to call into. They have a key-cutting service as well as gas bottle exchange is available. Not many stores are dog-friendly but you are more than welcome to bring yours inside to browse beside you. Stationery and art supplies are also well stocked and great to keep the children entertained on a rainy day. Located close to all the main attractions at Freycinet and Douglas Apsley National Parks. The famous penguins are found here and the Blowhole is also in walking distance.
