Self-guided Boat Hire - Our boats were designed and built in the United Kingdom for loch style fishing and are ideal for up to three anglers in Tasmania’s shallow smooth water lakes. They are powered by a six horsepower Suzuki motor and come provided with all safety equipment including life jackets, oars, buoyancy ring and fire extinguisher. Due to popularity bookings are essential, particularly in the summer months.

Find yourself immersed in nature with a private guided overnight walk to Powena Creek in the beautiful Walls of Jerusalem National Park, a magnificent World Heritage area that provides protection and sanctuary for a diversity of undisturbed habitats which are home to plants and animals that are rare and endemic to Tasmania. Your fully guided and supported journey begins as we cross the Central Plateau entering a unique, glaciated landscape, hosting an extensive network of highland lakes, trout-filled lagoons, pine-lined tarns and crystal clear streams. The area is abundant with wildlife, sightings of wombats, Tasmanian Devils and wedge-tailed eagles are possible. Your fantastic Miena Village guides provide all the support needed, carrying tents, cooking gear and all the food. They even set up camp (and takedown), prepare delicious gourmet meals and provide a selection of drinks and trail snacks.
