Situated in the Short Walks Capital of Tasmania, and located minutes from World Heritage-listed wilderness, Cedar Cottage Meander is a hand-built eco cabin perfect for couples and small groups. With a chef’s kitchen, fire pit and grill, and exclusive access to an organic kitchen garden, enjoy fresh Tasmanian produce exactly how you like it. Unwind in the cedar hot tub on your private deck overlooking the mountains and watch the stars blink into life. Experience slow living at its finest. The cottage is furnished with warm Tasmanian specialty woods like deep red myrtle and black-hearted sassafras. You’ll find an appreciation of craft everywhere you look, from the mortice and tenon joints to the hand-made huon pine kitchen, the post-and-rail fences to the block-printed cushion and yukata robe fabrics. The cottage is decorated with relaxed comfort in mind, using natural materials like linen, cotton, jute, wood, down and wool. There’s a little bit of quirk and a whole lot of style.
