Freycinet Stone Studio 6

Freycinet Golf Club is located on the Freycinet Peninsula, 6.5 kilometres west of Coles Bay, Tasmania near Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay. The Freycinet Golf course was designed by Bill Husband and opened in 1993. It is challenging and enjoyable for all players and a true test for the serious golfer. Freycinet Gold Club is a community course and all work is done by members who give their time for free in pursuit of a great course for all to enjoy. The course is a par 72, The Slope rating is 129 for Men and 120 for Women. It contains three par threes, three par fours and three par five holes.

Launching from Swanwick or Bagots Point, allows you to kayak around the Moulting Lagoon, well known for its incredible bird life. Fishing is also a favourite past time here and being shallow in many areas there are not a lot of boats to disturb you. Beware of the outgoing tide as it can be quite strong.

Access via the Swanwick Boat Ramp, you can fish from the shore here for dinner. Swanwick is on the East Coast of Tasmania, an Island State of Australia. It is adjacent to the Freycinet National Park where native animals can be seen in a unique environment within a few metres of the roads. Short walks will reward you with even more spectacular scenery. Swanwick has access to a variety of water sports from safe beaches for children to ocean game fishing areas. To help you relax from a hard day at the beach try tennis or golf. In addition to the National Park, you can view other scenic areas and visit nearby wineries. The local oyster farm runs tours of their operation on Great Oyster Bay, offering views of pelicans, swans and other birdlife as well as the spectacular scenery from the water.
