The Hartzview Vineyard Heritage listed Pickers Hut Village is at Gardners Bay, in Tasmania's South. Take a stroll into history as you enjoy a self-guided discovery walk of the seven different restored small fruit pickers huts that families lived in during the picking season and established in the 1920s. During World War Two, some huts were home to Italian prisoners of war, who replaced agricultural workers serving overseas. You can also visit the cellar door which is open every day and taste from the estate Reserve Pinot Noir, Chardonnays and the large range of preservative free fruit Ports, Liqueurs (Blackcurrant, Blackberry, Cherry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Tasmanian Cassis) and Mead. Gardner's Bay is a 45-minute drive (46 km) south of Hobart.

Spectacular views wherever you look are a feature at Hartzview looking across vineyard slopes, and Port Cygnet to the Hartz mountains. Enjoy tastings from estate grown hand-picked Pinot Noir, Sauvignon and chardonnays. Tastings also of unique preservative-free fruit fortified wines and liqueurs. All are made from 100% high-quality Tasmanian fruit. Ranging from the dryer Blackcurrant Port (similar in style to a Tawny Port), Blackberry, Cherry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Tasmanian Cassis and Spiced Apple Liqueur Mead. Robert has also been distilling Whisky and Estate Grown Pinot Noir for Brandy to be released this year. Tastings also of Gardners bay Distillery Eximious Gin and Raspberry Gin. Photo opportunities abound, often with bumblebees or take a stroll through the self-guided Heritage-listed pickers huts and be refreshed with the clean air and listen to the stillness.

With its warm and friendly atmosphere, the Cygnet Gallery is open seven days a week and most public holidays from 10 am to 4 pm, offering an engaging experience that celebrates the rich artistic tapestry of southern Tasmania. Managed by the Huon Art Exhibitions Group (HAEG), the Cygnet Gallery plays a vital role in supporting the region's cultural landscape. The group's signature event, the annual Huon Art Awards held each March, draws art enthusiasts from near and far. Beyond this, HAEG hosts solo exhibitions and special art events at the nearby Lovett Gallery.
