Secluded waterfront getaway, perfect for couples and families. Relax in front of the fire with a book, have a picnic by the pond, gaze at the stars, enjoy the antique outdoor bath, feed the chickens and ducks and collect fresh eggs. Naivasha Cottage is the perfect hideaway in the bush. If you do decide to venture out, the town of Deloraine is five mins away. Or it's an easy commute to Launceston, Cradle Mountain, Mole Creek Caves, Liffey Falls, Trowunna Wildlife Park and The Truffle Farm. It has a fully equipped kitchen and pantry essentials like tea, coffee, olive oil, balsamic vinegar are provided. We have a teapot, plunger and pour-over coffee kit. There's also some equipment for a picnic. The main bedroom and bedroom two are equipped with a Queen bed. Bedroom three has long single beds, suitable for teens and adults. The laundry has a washing machine, tub, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and extra cleaning supplies. Feel free to bring your own port-a-cot. A high-chair is available on request. The Living/Dining room contains a wood fire and windows overlooking the dam. Free wifi is available for your stay via Telstra coverage. Being in the hills you may find that your mobile coverage is tricky from time to time. Enjoy feeding the ducks and chickens (and collecting fresh free-range eggs for breakfast!)

The perfect romantic getaway. A tiny house with everything you need. Soak in the wood-fired hot tub, watch the stars by the fireside. Lazy mornings in bed, relax in our claw foot bath, read a book in front of the picture windows, warm up in front of the wood fire with a complimentary glass of port. Naivasha Tiny house is set in a secluded bush location. Please note that you'll need to climb some steps (two metres high) to get to the loft bed. If you have mobility issues, this may not be for you. There is no mobile reception, but we have great WiFi

Fowler bicycles became well regarded in the district and were exported to Melbourne. Deloraine and Districts Folk Museum

Deloraine

The Deloraine and District Folk Museum was opened as the Family and Commercial Inn in 1864. Today it reflects the life of the country publican and his family. Housed in an extensive garden is a Pioneer Walk where you can view reproduction and reclaimed heritage buildings showcasing the lives, tools and farming equipment of early settlers. Visit and enjoy our history and mystery. The museum is located at the Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre, 98-100 Emu Bay Road, Deloraine.
