Awesome community trail running events on Hobart's iconic mountain! Spanning four events across the year, the Series offers adventure, community spirit and a chance to immerse yourself in nature! At each event, choose from the longer Enduro distance or the shorter Sport distance. The Sport distance is fantastic if you're a trail kid (or have one at home!), if you'd prefer to run a shorter run, or if you're dipping your toes into trail running for the first time. They also have a third category, the Taster, with a 5km "pram-able" course at Tolosa in August, and shorter distances at our Ridgy Didge (September 27) event too. The courses feature trails through alpine heaths and past dolerite cliffs, to dry peppermint forests and buttongrass moorland. The Palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal community) generously welcome and share Kunanyi with trail runners – and for that, they're eternally grateful. Your support crew are very welcome to join in, and they have BBQs, and games for the kids at the Event hubs, to give you the chance to have a yarn and connect with others in this beautiful trail running community.

Tour includes mountain bike / e-mountain bike hire and a shuttle to the trail. 11 km adventure ride with a good variety of trails, suited to intermediate-level MTB riders. Trail starts at The Springs, on Mt Wellington. 720m above sea level. Finishes in South Hobart near Cascades Brewery. 550m of vertical elevation. Descending trails are connected by fire roads, expect some climbing in between descents. All the trails on our suggested route are sanctioned by Hobart City Council and have signage at the head of each trail. The connecting fire trails are also signed. Duration of the activity: including set up, shuttle to The Springs, minimum 2.5+ hours. Multiple options for adapting the route, alternative trails, and loops. After the ride, if further shuttles aren't an option, there are climbing trails. One of Tassie's best MTB adventure rides. Start the ride at the North-South Track or the summit of Mt Wellington. The 11km trail descends into Glenorchy MTB Park, where there are more trails to explore! Option to hire a mountain bike or E-mountain bike. This is a self-guided ride, suited to intermediate level MTB riders and above. Tour Summary Your adventure starts with a minibus shuttle from our office to Mt Wellington. The drive to the North-South Track takes about 20 mins. The trailhead is at a place called 'The Springs'; it's about 720 m above sea level and has a cafe and public toilets. From here, it's almost entirely downhill, an 11 km continuous trail that leads into the Glenorchy MTB Park.
