Lightwave is an annual winter arts festival celebrating 'people and place' across Turrakana Tasman Peninsula. Lightwave fosters community connection and collective warmth in the darkness of winter by taking the phenomenon of light as the catalyst for the festival's multi-artform programme. Lightwave presents three days of music and art events on Turrakana Tasman Peninsula in the southeast of Tasmania. The main event features live music, contemporary light-based art, delicious food, and community warmth and is a free, all ages community festival.

Premaydena Hill is a family owned and operated winery and cattle farm, perched on hilltop with sweeping views over the Tasman Peninsula and beyond. Owners Daniel and Ella Kelleher have lovingly restored an old farmhouse cottage (their former home) into a cosy and welcoming cellar door. Bookings not required, but appreciated for large groups.

Located at Port Arthur, McHenry Distillery is Australia's southern-most whisky distillery. As well the Distillery specializes in award winning premium spirits including Gin and Vodka. The Distillery's southern location takes advantage of the cool, moist maritime environment providing perfect conditions for whisky making. The Distillery uses its own abundant clear spring water that flows directly into the distillery and becomes the heart of the developing spirit. You can visit and experience hand-made single malt Tasmanian whisky and other high quality spirits like gin, sloe gin and vodka. The McHenry Distillery has a new Cellar Door at the Distillery and is open Monday to Sunday 10 am - 4 pm. If you can't make it to Port Arthur we have a weekly stall at Salamanca Market and a shop open 7 days a week at the new Brooke Street Pier on Hobart's waterfront. Tours and tastings daily. McHenry Distillery has recently added two new modern eco-cottages allowing visitors to have a longer more leisurely visit to the Distillery.
