Award-winning Woodbridge is a Heritage-listed Georgian mansion. With an absolute waterfront location and lush gardens, the Woodbridge is a spectacular historic landmark. Built by hand by convicts in 1825, and restored in 2005, it was judged the best Tasmanian restoration and best Australian restoration 2005, 2006. The Woodbridge Tasmania Boutique Hotel is a seamless blend of 200 years of this history with modern amenities and comfort. Guests platypus spot while enjoying breakfast or dinner in the riverfront Pavilion which serves local seasonal produce, and award-winning local wines, whisky, gin, vodka, and ales. Relax by the fireplace in the Reading Room or Ballroom, and enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and fruit in the Salon. Adjacent riverside parklands offer delightful walks. Or do some serious wilderness walking nearby, and then unwind in our sauna and jacuzzi. Each elegantly furnished room or suite offers Wi-Fi, heating/fans/air-conditioning, ensuite bathrooms, and river views and most have open wood fireplaces. The Woodbridge is situated in the heart of the picturesque Derwent Valley. Just 30 minutes to Hobart, it is 45 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Mona and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, minutes from the historic Salmon Ponds and the Agrarian Kitchen, and a short drive to Mt Field National Park, wineries, distilleries, microbreweries, antique shops and art facilities.

Typically a Suite contains at least one bedroom and a completely separate lounge/living room without beds. Our suites are spacious, all have fireplaces, and two have direct access to the Terrace.

Our rooms are unique, bur similarly furnished and equipped. The emphasis is on comfort and convenience - spacious, with heating, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, double glazed windows, plenty of luggage space, and comfortable beds.

Our suites are unique but similarly furnished and equipped. Suites have several rooms - sitting room, bedroom and bathroom, and are larger than rooms. The emphasis is on comfort and convenience - spacious, with heating, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, double-glazed windows, plenty of luggage space, and comfortable beds. All have views.
