We will visit several distilleries producing premium whisky and spirits on the eastern and western banks of the river. The terroir of the river valley, and the northern coastal influences, provide the perfect conditions for distilling and maturing high-quality whisky and gins. Each distillery has prepared a unique Tasmanian Whisky Week activity, where you meet the whisky makers, taste Tasmania's finest single malts, and enjoy a delicious lunch at Turners Stillhouse in Grindelwald. This is an active day tour and walking is required. Freycinet National Park is a not to be missed place to visit, with its magnificent beaches, including the iconic Wine Glass Bay. There is plenty to do for everyone, short beach walks, rugged walks for the adventurous to the top of the Hazards, swimming at safe sheltered beaches such as Honeymoon Bay, or perhaps spot a whale or some Dolphins from the Cape Tourville Lighthouse. Meet the tame wallabies in the car park and maybe spot a Sea Eagle from the cliff top on a walk to Hazards Beach.
