The 2018 SteamFest was a steaming success! The 2019 SteamFest is going to be better yet again because the organisers strive to make the event better each year. Building on what has been achieved in the past the focus is on improving the number and quality of stalls for guest to enjoy. With a strong focus on using Tasmanian produce, crafts, exhibits, entertainers and kids activities. In 2017 they introduced the Miniature Railway, another great attraction that the little ones love.
SteamFest brings history to life over three days with one of the biggest collections of working steam machinery in Australia, steam train rides, exhibitions of pioneering skills such as blacksmithing, historic machinery such as steam-powered threshers and rock crushers showing how things were done in yesteryear and vintage cars.
Kids versus Steamroller Tug-o-War, plenty of kid's entertainment plus lots and lots of art, craft and food stalls. And, of course, their Krauss steam loco running every half hour, all day long!
