Enjoy a room with a view - either over the town, towards 'The Nut', along sandy beaches or the rolling green hills. Perfect location, out the front door onto Church Street with cafes, galleries and quaint shops along the street next to the Stanley Hotel. All rooms have refurbished bathrooms and comfortable beds. A couple of rooms open onto the large verandah and deck. Typical of the era, all 10 rooms are upstairs and have to accommodate the quirks of an 1830’s building.

A small collection of fine Tasmanian products, complete the small complex which, with its cobblestone walkways and old street lamps, is reminiscent of an English scene! All four cottages are four-star self-rated and decorated in a colonial style blended with modern touches. They are well-appointed, full of character and charm and extremely comfortable and warm, with ocean and mountain views. All are fully self-contained. You simply cannot beat the location

Situated in an attractive garden, Abbey’s Cottage, built in 1870, has lovely sea and Nut views. Great for a larger group or family, can sleep up to 8 people - two bedrooms on the ground floor and two attic bedrooms, two bathrooms and two lounge rooms, there is space for everyone. Bedding; 1 x queen and 2 x king single beds downstairs. Upstairs is 1 x queen and 1 x double with a bathroom located upstairs. A fully equipped kitchen, wood fire and deep bath, Abbey’s Cottage is charming heritage accommodation. At the end of the street is The Nut, beach and penguin viewing platform where penguins come ashore most nights. Around the corner is Church Street which has great shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. Free of street parking and wifi
