Creedence Returns to Kings Beach Tavern

This camping spot sits just over the dunes from North Beach at The River. The north-facing beach looks across a sheltered bay to a wooded headland, with lovely views out to the Outer and Inner Sister Islands. There is no water available, so campers must be fully self-sufficient. Fires are not permitted at any time, and cooking should be done using gas stoves only. Toilets are located approximately a 100-metre walk from the campsite. Pets and dogs are welcome. The River campsite is located around 50 kilometres from Whitemark and is a popular summer spot for locals. A nearby car park includes picnic tables. The surrounding area is ideal for swimming, snorkelling, surfing, fishing, boating, beachcombing, photography and birdwatching. Take care when swimming, as undertows can be strong and change quickly with the tide. Fishing is popular around the change of tide, particularly using lures for black back salmon. At low tide, snorkellers may spot flathead. The river mouth is also a well-known break for surfers and body boarders.

Luxury boutique beachside house. Palana Beach House is ideally situated overlooking a beautiful bay with a totally unspoilt view of the sea and coastline. Sit and watch sea eagles gliding over the beach or dolphins frolicking in Blyth Bay. It is quiet, peaceful and in an unspoilt area of natural beauty. A beautiful two kilometre long beach out front is a delight to walk on, accessible by the beach access track in front of the property (60 seconds until your toes are on the beach!). The house is delightfully appointed with all creature comforts at hand (dishwasher, bread maker, pasta maker, etc). It is well furnished, leaving guests with a feeling they are in their own home but with a great view. The house has two queen size beds in separate standalone rooms that are connected to the main open-plan house (beautifully lined with Tasmanian wood and hardwood floors) via an elevated walkway. All rooms in the house have sweeping views out to Blyth Bay. The wallabies come out at night to mow the lawn and the birds flit around during the day. Located on Flinders Island, the Palana Beach Retreat is open-plan and bathed in natural light with views from every window. Sleeping up to 7 guests, the master bedroom has an ensuite, whilst the large main bathroom has a corner spa with privacy and views out to the surroundings. There is a choice of a king or two singles in the second bedroom, and a triple bunk bed (double and single) in the third bedroom. The house has a fully-equipped kitchen with a coffee machine. There is also a BBQ and outdoor table so you can enjoy alfresco dining with ocean views.
