Queer Coast

Image of a painting of Brooklyn Road
Queer Coast displays artworks of LGBTIQA+ people living in lutruwita / Tasmania. By drawing inspiration from the unique beaches in Devonport and across North West Tasmania, artists share stories of seeking out safe spaces and resilience. As members of the Queer community, artists have faced experiences that have been challenging and rewarding, including discrimination through to connection and acceptance. By presenting this exhibition, the artists invite viewers to evaluate their own relationships and reflect on stories that may resonate including those of identity and love. Curated by Amy Bartlett and Ellina Evans Artists: Ariel Pascoe, Mack Wharton, Hope Town, Karen Knight, Carly Peters & Stella Blackwell
