The Moonbird Festival returns in 2025 to celebrate King Island, one of the most spectacular places on Earth, combining art, science, and conservation, and including guided nature walks, local culinary delights and intimate, world-class performances. The moonbird, or the Short-tailed Shearwater, is an iconic species of great cultural and ecological significance to the Bass Strait islands. They leave their colonies on King Island on their annual 30,000km migration at the end of April. There's so much to do on beautiful, mysterious King Island. Plan your break now!
