Also perfect for bird watching, looking out for a migrating whale or pod of dolphins and listening to the waves gently lapping the shore. Situated on the doorstep to famous Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park, Edge of the Bay is where you can effortlessly connect with nature and reconnect with yourself.

Edge of the Bay Resort is located at Coles Bay, on Tasmania's East Coast. It has magnificent views across Oyster Bay to the pink granite mountains of the Freycinet Peninsula. This intimate family-run resort is right on the water's edge and offers two styles of accommodation; traditional family cabins set amongst the Sheoaks, and stylish contemporary ensuite rooms right on the beach with their own private deck. You can explore the area by bicycle, explore Freycinet National Park, go wildlife spotting at dusk, fish for the day; flathead are bountiful here. The resort has tennis courts. You really need two days to explore the area; walking to Wineglass Bay or Hazards Beach, exploring Friendly Beaches, taking a tour to see if you will be lucky enough to spot a migrating whale or a pod of dolphins, bird watching or listening to the waves rolling onto the beach in front of your room.
