From the open plan living and dining enhanced by works of local artists, step into the north-facing courtyard to soak up the sun, enjoy a glass of local wine or relax in the evening twilight. The king-size bed ensures peaceful rest after exploring wilderness adventures in the pristine south, gourmet food, wine or boating experiences at nearby villages such as Franklin, Cygnet, Geeveston and Woodbridge. For those who absolutely have to work, there is a desk and free WiFi. The bathroom/laundry facilities include a combo washer/dryer. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a stovetop, oven, microwave, full fridge, dishwasher and all the utensils and equipment needed if you choose to cook in. DashWu Steading has universal electric vehicle charging so you will be powered up each day to visit restaurants, wineries, cider houses, bakeries and artisan studios or to venture a little further afield to Southport, Dover, Hastings Caves, Tahune Airwalk, Cockle Creek, Bruny Island and the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. An ideal base, DashWu Steading offers a sanctuary to call home during your stay.

Crabtree River Cottages are located on the banks of the Crabtree River in the beautiful Huon Valley at Grove, just a 25-minute drive from Hobart and a seven-minute drive to the centre of Huonville. The property sits on the banks of the Crabtree River and overlooks ‘Sleeping Beauty’ mountain. We offer two private and comfortable federation-style self-contained cottages named Emily and Eliza. Both cottages have a kitchenette, very high vaulted ceilings, en-suite with two-person spa plus separate shower, romantic bedroom, large decks with barbecue and verandahs overlooking Crabtree River. The river is an active playground for platypus and trout, and the pastures beyond are home to wallabies and the odd Tasmanian devil. Relax by the wood heater in winter or watch the river roll by whilst relaxing on the deck during summer. Crabtree River Cottages provides an ideal base to stay whilst in the Huon Valley with its many wineries and tourist attractions. Tahune Air Walk, Cockle Creek, Hastings Caves and the Willie Smith's Apple shed are all on your doorstep.

Walton House is situated near the Huon River with a beautiful outlook in the heart of the Huon. Have it both ways with the serenity of the countryside, yet accessible to the beaches, mountains, local amenities and attractions. The primary residence of Walton House is over 100 years old. Their guests enjoy using the guest accommodation adjacent to the private home. You can come and go as you please. You will have access to the guest accommodation independently for the entire stay, with easy check-in and check-out, ample parking, free WiFi, and beautiful amenities. Rooms are immaculately appointed, and you will experience a relaxed stay directed only by your own itinerary. A short walk into Huonville and easy access to local sights and attractions will ensure you have a memorable stay. Two guest suites are available with fabulous common areas, including the guest lounge and courtyard.
