Currie Lighthouse
Standing proudly on King Island's rugged west coast, the historic Currie Lighthouse is one of the island's most iconic landmarks. First illuminated in 1880, the lighthouse continues to guide vessels through the often wild waters of Bass Strait while offering visitors spectacular coastal views and a glimpse into King Island's maritime past. Located beside the King Island Museum and overlooking the dramatic coastline at Currie Harbour, the site is a must-visit for history lovers, photographers and visitors exploring the island's rich heritage and natural beauty. Tours inside the island are available with King Island Walks.
