Petals and Posies: Appreciate the Little Thing Workshop

Colorful greenhouse interior at Low Head Community Garden with stained glass panels, flowers, and pl
George Town Council, in partnership with Low Head Community Garden, invites the community to gather on the picturesque coast of Northern Tasmania for Petals and Posies: Appreciate the Little Things. This uplifting, hands-on workshop offers participants the chance to explore the art of simple flower arranging while reflecting on the small joys that enrich daily life. Guided by members of the garden, each person will create a unique arrangement to take home. Set within the thriving Low Head Community Garden, this intergenerational experience celebrates connection to both nature and community. Fresh blooms grown by garden members bring authenticity and sustainability to the session, while the gentle pace of the activity allows for mindfulness and creativity. Presented during Mental Health Week 2025, the workshop aligns with the theme of appreciating life's quieter, nourishing moments. The location enhances the experience, with the iconic Low Head Lighthouse, coastal walking tracks, and local cafes just minutes away. The venue offers easy access and a welcoming, relaxed environment. Rooted in a place with a rich maritime history and strong sense of community, the workshop encourages both visitors and locals to pause, reconnect, and celebrate beauty in everyday details. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended. This project is supported by the Tasmanian Government and the Mental Health Council of Tasmania.
