Depending on your needs the 'A-frame' foreshore cottages are suitable for couples and the four-bedroom accommodation will sleep up to nine. The mid-range cottages are ideal for a family or two. There are also four motel-style rooms with guest laundry. More than three acres of surrounding bushland is filled with eucalypts, acacias and native plants. Keep an eye out for local wildlife including possums, wallabies and yellow-tailed black cockatoos. You are perfectly positioned to explore the Freycinet and Douglas Apsley National Parks. Stop by local wineries and choose a bottle to enjoy on your deck at the end of the day. Bicheno is just over a two-hour drive southeast of Launceston (174 kilometres).

The School House was Bicheno's original Primary School, from 1935 to 1958, this beautiful timber building provides all the comforts of home and can accommodate up to four people. Ideal for families, the open plan layout of the ground floor is suitable for wheelchair access. There is a queen bed downstairs and two single beds on a mezzanine floor. The fully equipped kitchen and lounge room are heated by an electric heater. There is a panel heater on the bedroom wall, and all beds have electric blankets. The School House is in an ideal location in the heart of Bicheno. Waub’s Bay, local shops and beautiful cafes are a short walk from the accommodation. There are numerous beautiful local attractions that are recommended including Diamond Island, Waubs Bay, Bicheno, Bicheno Penguin Tours, Bicheno foreshore walk, Bicheno Blowhole, Denison Beach and the Porches, Douglas-Apsley National Park, Freycinet National Park, and Wineglass Bay.
