Waterfall Bay - Great Short Walk

Eaglehawk Pavilions are two modern, self-contained pavilions on the hillside above Tasmania’s world famous Eaglehawk Neck. Just 45 minutes from Hobart Airport, Eaglehawk Neck is the gateway to Tasmania’s convict past. Walk down to the Officers’ Quarters and the infamous Dog Line or take a short drive to Port Arthur Historic Site or the Saltwater River Coal Mines. In the evenings, enjoy the spectacular views over Pirates Bay from the deck while enjoying dinner prepared either on the BBQ or indoors. After dark, make use of the unlimited wi-fi Internet to watch a movie and recharge. Eaglehawk Pavilions are extremely private (including from each other) and are ideal for a romantic escape or as a base to explore everything the Tasman Peninsula has to offer.

Situated on the Arthur highway, within walking distance to the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, Taranna Chocolate Factory and backed onto Rosedale farm is this small lovely flat block with three tent/caravan/motor home sites. Just 5 minute's drive to the Lavender Cafe and 9 minutes to the Port Arthur historic site. This is a great little stopover, for those who need a cheap, easy place to stay. Toilet and power is available upon request. Campers are asked to take all their waste and rubbish with them on departure.

Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet five-acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, and diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic Site just a short drive away. If you want to see the nearby iconic coastline, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips. Accommodation bookings are for two adults; children under 16 stay free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site but please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs on-site. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (B.Y.O paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are great meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. As we only make provisions for two campsites you'll never be crowded.
