Join us for the trip of a lifetime on this five day / four night adventure voyage sailing the amazingly beautiful Tasmanian East Coast. We depart from Triabunna and sail down this world class stretch of water back to our home berth in Hobart. Immerse yourself in life aboard: help with handling the sails, take a turn on the helm, climb the masts or just simply relax on deck taking in the fantastic scenery from a vantage point few ever experience. Dolphins, seals and an amazing variety of sea birds including albatross are common on our trips - you may even be lucky and see migrating whales. Full days at sea, then enjoy sunsets over a glass of wine, a hot meal and good company as we anchor for the night in a sheltered bays. The Lady Nelson is a replica of the original H.M.S Lady Nelson that brought the first settlers to Tasmania in 1804 so you will experience sailing a tall ship like they did over 200 years ago -but with all the safety and comfort of a modern ship with a fully equipped galley and hot showers. This 3 day, 2 night journey offers nature lovers an authentic tall ship experience with exclusive access to hidden trails and serene landscapes. Depart from Hobart and immerse yourself in Southern Tasmania's pristine beauty. Assist with sailing, climb the rigging, or simply sit back and relax. Discover secluded bays and postcard-perfect beaches daily. Guided hikes through the bush, led by our expert team to reveal the region's rich history and diverse ecosystems. Hikes cater to all skill levels. Return to the Lady Nelson for a hearty dinner. As the sun sets, relax on deck with a drink, sharing stories under the stars. Your Itinerary: DAY ONE: Depart Hobart, sail down the Derwent River into the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. Enjoy a pre-dinner walk before mooring. DAY TWO: Enjoy sailing and hiking, concluding with dinner at anchor. DAY THREE: Return to Hobart by 4 PM Destinations may include Bruny Island, Frederick Henry Bay, or Norfolk Bay, weather permitting. The Lady Nelson offers comfortable bunk beds for up to 18 people, a fully equipped galley, with all meals prepared by our ship's cook. Bring a favourite tipple for the evening. Onboard facilities include toilets and hot showers. Just bring your sea legs & hiking boots and leave the rest to us!
