Located just 9 kilometres from Scottsdale, Pandora Valley offers a secluded and sheltered camping area in a paddock with not a house in sight. The property is nestled within the scenic Cuckoo Valley, covering 90 acres and currently operating as a beef farm. The Mackenzie Rivulet winds through 20 acres of native rainforest in the centre of the property, providing hours of exploration for campers. The rivulet is shallow, with clear, slow-moving water, making it a perfect spot to cool off on a warm summer's day or a beautiful place to sit back and read a book. The property has only recently been purchased by its current owners and is a work in progress, so for now there are limited facilities onsite. Campsites are pet friendly. Fire pits are allowed in all sites.

Northeast Park is situated at 54 Ringarooma Road, Scottsdale, about a one-hour drive from Launceston (63 km). The park has a barbeque, toilets and shower facilities ($$), as well as an RV dump point. A camping ground is located at the front of the park which is suitable for tents, caravans and campervans. All sites are unpowered and available for use at no charge for up to 14 days. Bookings are not required. Enjoy the peaceful surrounds with forests, mountains and scenic picnic areas. Wander along pleasant forest walks in the park to see the unique Tasmanian flora, chat with the resident ducks or maybe spot a platypus, pademelon, wallaby or the rare burrowing crayfish.
