Guided Walking Group Packages - Luxury Four Wheel Drive Tours

Explore Flinders Island by foot and discover the history and beauty surrounding this island. A couple or a group of up to 16, you can choose the length of your adventure between two and eight days. Special interest group packages to enjoy the birds of Bass Strait, wildflowers in season, wildlife or history can be arranged. Luxury four wheel drive tours will take you off the beaten track to places visitors rarely see. With over 120 beaches and mountains to 756 metres, you can swim in the clear blue water, walk over red granite rocks, fish for your dinner and visit mutton bird rookeries. You may even like to search for the famous 'Killiecrankie diamond,' a type of hard colourless topaz.

Mutton Bird Sunset Cruise Tour

From November to March yearly, watch mutton birds return to the islands of the Furneax Group. Also known as short-tailed shearwaters, millions of these birds return from the Northern Hemisphere to nest and raise their young. This tour takes you on 'Strait Lady,' a 10-metre luxury cruiser, out among the off-shore islands. From here, you will have the perfect view of mutton birds coming in. Thousands will return to their nests at dusk with food they have gathered to feed their young.

Full Day 4WD Island Adventure Tour

Enjoy a full day exploring Flinders Island in a luxury four wheel drive. This full-day tour will take you off the beaten track in the comfort of a GXL Toyota Landcruiser to places visitors rarely see. Experienced guides will point out the wildlife and share with you the fascinating history of the islands. The tour includes morning tea and lunch. You will be collected and dropped off to your accommodation or the airport. Two passengers are required to experience this exciting full-day tour. Close to the continental shelf, Flinders Island has superb fishing opportunities. Catch yellowfin tuna offshore or cast off the beaches and reel in a flathead. Group fishing packages include your airfares, two-day boat charters, two nights accommodation twin-share, continental breakfast and delicious lunches. A vibrant fishing community, local fishermen harvest the best in crayfish, abalone, scallops and giant crabs. Warm currents around the islands are home to many different species of fish. A package can be tailored for groups, to suit their fishing interests. We offer two to four day group fishing packages which include boats, fishing gear and cottage accommodation. The Perch

Blue Rocks

The Perch, a bespoke energy efficiently designed house located on two rocks on a secluded beachfront property on Flinders Island, and has facilities to accommodate up to four adults. These include two large luxury bedrooms (2 King or 4 Single) with built-in robes, two bathrooms and two toilets, all linen plus beach towels along with a generous open living and dining area with a modern fully equipped kitchen. BBQ facilities are also available. In addition to the above modern conveniences such as telephone access and mobile phone, Wi-Fi are included with the rate. The house has many activities to keep you occupied including TV, games and puzzles. For the outdoor enthusiast take advantage of the fishing, kayaks, boogie boards and snorkelling equipment. Landscaped native gardens with walks surround the house. Note this property is only licensed to accommodate 4 persons and is not suited for children.

Flinders Island Cabin Park is set on 2.5 acres of beautiful park-like grounds and provides a range of self-contained; fully equipped studio, one and two-bedroom cabins. Combined with our rental vehicles we can tailor holiday packages to suit singles, couples, families and groups. Mick and Marianne provide an airport pick-up for all of our accommodation and car hire guests. The Lodge and Cottage are spacious two-bedroom cabin's that can sleep up to four people. They have a large living area and a wood fire in the lodge. It is perfect for a couple that would like a bit of extra space, families or two couples. The Deluxe Cabin is spacious and comfortable with queen bed, ensuite and fully equipped kitchen as well as its own private courtyard. The one-bedroom cabins are larger than the studio cabins with separate bedroom and dining area. The cosy studio cabins are fully self-contained one-bedroom en suite cabins and can be configured with a double or two single beds. Our newly built pavilion and bbq area is an ideal spot for gatherings with friend and guests

Whitemark Foreshore Apartments are the latest addition to the self contained accommodation options on Flinders Island. Set on a large block at the corner of Bowman Street and The Esplanade, Whitemark the three units are orientated to the north and north west giving sea views and glimpses of the sunsets. Each has a large, well equipped kitchen, dining and living area. The décor is a reflection of the coastal setting with local art pieces adding to the ambience. The outdoor decking allows a space to relax and take in the views. The bedrooms have large king sized beds that can split into singles so the two larger units can sleep four as two couples or four singles, the middle unit has one bedroom. Shower with hand basin and toilet and an extra toilet, laundry and garage complete the picture. Suitable for a range of guests from a couple to a group of ten the apartments lend themselves to those seeking to explore our diverse and abundant island home. Options include: bushwalking, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching, running (the Whitemark Park Run starts just 200m from the door) or simply touring by car to unearth our history and natural beauty.
