Explore the Kooparoona niara Cultural Trail where you will find native plantings and discover the many artworks inspired by Tasmanian Aboriginal culture. The highlight for many is the Yarning/Healing Circle – a truly spiritual spot where nine limestone boulders represent the Aboriginal Nations of Tasmania. This is a place where community can come together as one and share stories, open lines of communication and increase our knowledge. Also included is the breathtaking tulampanga/Alum Cliffs region, culturally significant to Aboriginal people as it is the meeting place of three Aboriginal nations. The landscape is rich and ancient in Aboriginal heritage and culture, both historical and contemporary, providing a unique opportunity to understand and appreciate the cultural heritage.
