The ever-popular spine-tingling Port Arthur Ghost Tours are back!

Join a lantern-lit walking tour to experience the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site by night. Port Arthur can seem a very different place after sunset, full of mystery and intrigue.

Unlike many other ghost tours around the world, visitors on the Port Arthur Ghost Tours have exclusive access to Port Arthur after dark.

Rich storytelling and pathways through darkened ruins and heritage buildings reveal bizarre occurrences during Port Arthur's history, baffling and alarming convicts, free settlers, soldiers, and today's visitors alike.

After sharing the hidden side of the convict settlement for more than 20 years, Port Arthur remains Australia's 'must-do' ghost tour experience. The 90-minute tour covers a distance of two kilometres.

Available every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (except Christmas night). Our COVID safety plan requires each tour to be capped at 20 people, so bookings are essential. Ghost tours will run in any weather condition, so come prepared. We do not recommend people with restricted mobility and young children to join the tour.
