Annie’s Room, 121 Warwick St is a Heritage-listed cottage dating back to 1837. This is the historical name the cottage goes by. It is one half of a georgian-style terrace, the other side of the property is called Pandora’s Box. The rumour is that both cottages are thus named because back in the old days West Hobart was a vibrant ‘red light’ district! It is very quaint with many period touches as well as modern conveniences. There is a lovely back garden to enjoy when the weather is fine, a fire inside as well as a heat pump to keep you toasty warm in the cooler weather. Everything is provided to make your stay comfortable and “a home away from home”. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast basket for your first day or two. The cottage’s location makes it so easy to eat out, being walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, pubs so guests will find it hard to resist the many culinary delights on offer. Perfect for a couple it is essentially a one-bedroom cottage, with a queen bed, plus a daybed in a study nook and a sofa in the lounge room that converts to a single bed. Annie’s is the perfect base from which to explore all the sights Hobart has to offer.
