Jaclyn Studio is a labour of love, filled with natural textures & quality amenities for your relaxation, recreation, and revitalization. Bathed in abundant natural light and nestled within a private rock garden, this exquisite open-plan space is thoughtfully designed to seamlessly blend style and functionality. Situated just a stone's throw away from the main house on the 3-acre property of native bush and meticulous gardens. More than just accommodation, we aim to curate a slow-stay experience that nurtures mindfulness, connection, and an appreciation for the present moment. We extend an invitation for you to break away from the fast-paced routines and fully immerse yourself in the essence of this temporary abode. As such, there is no television in the studio, but we have views out every window/door and everywhere you go. The design of the studio showcases the richness of local timber. Adorned with an eclectic collection of treasures, bespoke furniture, beautiful books, and luxurious French flax linens, it's the perfect retreat for both couples and small families.

Tamar Island Wetlands Centre and Reserve

Launceston

The Tamar Island Wetlands is a unique urban wetlands reserve just a ten-minute drive from Launceston. A short (500 metre) walk from the interpretation centre takes you to a bird hide with seating where you can observe wetland birds on the lagoon and enjoy a restful break. An outstanding interpretation centre offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about the value of the wetlands. The interpretation centre and the boardwalk to the island have easy wheelchair access and both have disabled toilet facilities. The Tamar Island Wetlands Centre offers a range of activities for both adults and children. Volunteers present talks and activities on topics such as wetlands ecology, macro-invertebrates and the pest fish species Gambusia. A Discovery Ranger program operates daily over the summer holiday period.

Dining in Timbre Kitchen is very popular and utilises seasonal Tasmanian produce, irresistible matched with our wonderful boutique wines. We have an extensive range of wines available, from vintage Sparkling, Pinot Noir, rich earthy Cabernet, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Shiraz. Our team are welcoming and knowledgeable and very proud of our Tasmanian produce.
