Escape to the country and experience genuine Tasmanian hospitality at Glencoe Country Bed and Breakfast, an owner-operated historic farmhouse near Sheffield in North West Tasmania. Surrounded by established gardens, rolling farmland and beautiful views towards Mount Roland, Glencoe is a peaceful place to slow down and feel at home. Four individually furnished guest rooms offer private ensuite bathrooms and country charm. Guests can also relax in the separate lounge beside the cosy log fire. Wake to the aroma of coffee and a generous continental and cooked seasonal breakfast. Farm-fresh eggs, garden produce, home-baked favourites and locally sourced Tasmanian ingredients are used wherever possible. Dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice. Wander through the gardens, meet the resident farm animals or simply enjoy the tranquillity. Glencoe is an ideal base for exploring Sheffield, Mount Roland, Lake Barrington, Devonport, the North West Coast and Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park. Hosted by Irene and Russell McNeill, Glencoe is perfect for couples and mature travellers seeking personal service, memorable breakfasts and a relaxed farmhouse experience. Come and stay awhile—you may arrive as a guest, but you will leave feeling part of the Glencoe story. Guests aged 12 years and over are welcome. Guest pets are not accepted, as Howard, our resident cat and self-appointed boss, has exclusive roaming rights.
