Lavender House Perfumery is nestled in the beautiful Tamar River Valley at Rowella, on the Tamar Valley Wine Route. The Perfumery is Tasmania's only working perfumery. Established for thirty years, it is a niche and unique business that manufactures world class natural lavender, and rose products including perfumes, skin and body care, therapeutic and aromatherapy products, home care and gourmet teas, inspired by the love of lavender, roses, herbs and essential oils. The gardens are packed with premium lavender, French heirloom and Turkish roses and other botanicals that are grown using organic and sustainable farming methods. These are harvested, dried, and distilled and used throughout our product range. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens, sample the extensive range of premium products, and chat with us about our products, perfumes and plants. Visitors can smell the different lavender cultivars, roses and herbs in season and view scent extraction methods, including enfleurage, drying and distillation in the beautiful Turkish Copper Stills. Lavender House Perfumery is located at Rowella, a 35 minute drive north of Launceston. It is close to Beaconsfield, Beauty Point, Hillwood, and the Batman Bridge and is an easy round trip from Launceston seeing both sides of the scenic Tamar River. Support Australian Made!

This small family-owned vineyard with a cellar door is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 11am to 4pm. The vineyard itself has been producing excellent cool climate wines for more than 25 years. The grape varieties that are grown are Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir on 10 hectares of land. The cellar door is run from a century old cottage adjacent to the vineyard. The beautiful old home has many gorgeous features, including Art Nouveau interior timber elements, fireplaces in every room and a peaceful garden with hundred-year-old trees. Designed by Alexander North for his son, the little cottage has some unique characteristics and will continue to delight visitors as it has done for more than 100 years. The Mani family welcomes you to share in the tranquility, taste some wonderful wines, and enjoy a little piece of Tasmania's history.

Holm Oak is a labour of love for Bec and Tim Duffy. Since 2006 they have followed their dream of crafting delicious expressions of cool-climate Tasmanian wines, with many accolades along the way, including a revered James Halliday Five Star Winery rating. With Bec as the winemaker and Tim the viticulturist, their complementary skills provide a vision to produce delicious wines that reflect their home - Tasmania’s pristine Tamar Valley; and their own personalities – honest, down to earth, genuine and authentic. Holm Oak offers two wine flight tasting experiences at their cellar door: The ‘Winemakers Selection’ for winter is a selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines, while the ‘Choose Your Own Adventure Wine Flight’ invites visitors to choose four wines from a selection of nine to create their own wine tasting experience. There is also the option to choose a bottle of wine and select from a range of tasty local cheeses and small goods available for ‘a create your own’ platter or picnic which can be enjoyed overlooking the vineyards. Of course, no visit to Holm Oak is complete without checking in with (self-appointed) General Manager Pinot Junior and his side kick, Mayonnaise. Don’t forget about the winery dogs though – Nyah and Bella will be happy to greet you at cellar door!
