Lavender House Perfumery is nestled in the beautiful Tamar River Valley at Rowella, on the Tamar Valley Wine Route. The Perfumery is Tasmania's only working perfumery. Established for thirty years, it is a niche and unique business that manufactures premium natural lavender and botanical products including perfumes, skin and body care, therapeutic and aromatherapy products, home care and gourmet teas inspired by the love of lavender, roses, herbs and essential oils. The fields are packed with premium lavender, French heirloom and Turkish roses and other botanicals that are grown using organic and sustainable farming methods. These are harvested, dried, and distilled and used throughout our range. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens, sample the extensive range of artisan products, and chat with friendly staff, about botanical products and scent. Visitors can smell the different lavender, rose and herb varieties in season and view manufacturing methods, including enfleurage, drying and distillation in the beautiful Turkish Copper Stills. Lavender House Perfumery is located at Rowella, a 35 minute drive north of Launceston. It is close to Beaconsfield, Beauty Point, Hillwood, and the Batman Bridge and is an easy round trip from Launceston seeing both sides of the scenic Tamar River. Support Australian Made!

Holm Oak is a labour of love for Bec and Tim Duffy. Since 2006 they have followed their dream of crafting delicious expressions of cool-climate Tasmanian wines, with many accolades along the way, including a revered James Halliday Five Star Winery rating. With Bec as the winemaker and Tim the viticulturist, their complementary skills provide a vision to produce delicious wines that reflect their home - Tasmania’s pristine Tamar Valley; and their own personalities – honest, down to earth, genuine and authentic. Holm Oak offers two wine flight tasting experiences at their cellar door: The ‘Winemakers Selection’ for winter is a selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines, while the ‘Choose Your Own Adventure Wine Flight’ invites visitors to choose four wines from a selection of nine to create their own wine tasting experience. There is also the option to choose a bottle of wine and select from a range of tasty local cheeses and small goods available for ‘a create your own’ platter or picnic which can be enjoyed overlooking the vineyards. Of course, no visit to Holm Oak is complete without checking in with (self-appointed) General Manager, Pinot d’Pig and his younger counterparts, Pinot Junior and Mayonnaise. Don’t forget about the winery dogs though – Nyah and Bella will be happy to greet you at cellar door!

Westella Vineyard is our 10 acre family vineyard located in the cool climate of the Tamar Valley, Tasmania. We are a wine-grower dedicated to crafting a full range of wines grown only from Pinot Noir grapes. From four key Pinot Noir clones we produce two classic traditional method sparklings, a Blanc de Noir and a Vintage Rosé, continuing on to a selection of fuller-bodied barrel-aged Pinot Noir, including the Westella and the Tippogoree. Visitors to our Westella Vineyard and Cellar are able to sample and purchase our wines to enjoy alongside a small menu of interesting Tasmanian producers including cheese, smoked meats, condiments and fresh produce. We invite you to visit and enjoy the scenic trip along kanamaluka (the Tamar River) to our peaceful and picturesque garden of vines.
