We are planning a fantastic event in March 2026 and hope to see everyone there. What is SteamFest?- On the March long weekend in Tasmania, SteamFest brings history to life over three days with one of the biggest collections of working steam machinery in Australia, Steam train rides, exhibitions of pioneering skills showing how things were done in yesteryear, ploughing displays and a full wood chopping competition on Monday. Plenty of kid's entertainment plus lots and lots of art, craft and food stalls. And, of course, their Krauss steam loco running every half hour, all day long! Held in the Town of Murals and Home of SteamFest - Sheffield Tasmania. Buy your tickets online at "Iwannaticket" for the same price as in 2019. if you buy at the Gate it will be $5 more. SteamFest is the major fund raising event for the Sheffield Steam and Heritage Centre. Profits are used to restore heritage machinery and to educate the new generations in the wonders of steam. The event would not be possible without the wonderful support from our volunteers and sponsors.

At the Sheffield Honey Farm visitors will experience tastings of variety of famous Tasmanian Honey, Honey Ales, Mead and Mead Blends at their Farm Shop in the heart of Sheffield. Sheffield Honey Farm has won multiple awards, including Champion Honey at Tasmanian Fine Food Awards 2022. The Sheffield Honey Farm processing site is the location of the company’s honey extraction plant and bulk honey warehouse. Built-in 2015/2016, our honey is extracted using this state-of-the-art facility. Sheffield is a town known for offering a relaxed lifestyle, a scenic rural outlook and the gateway to Tasmania’s iconic Cradle Mountain, beautiful lakes and pristine rainforests. Sheffield is also the home of the Mural Fest.
