Something Something Farm

A free, weekly, timed 5km walk/jog/run at 9am every Saturday. Open to all ages and abilities. Organised entirely by volunteers. Friendly and fun. Join us! The course is at Heritage Park, Geeveston on a mixture of concrete paths and grass. There are three laps, ensuring that you pass lots of friendly faces along the way. When you run along the Kermandie River stretch, keep one eye on the river in case one of the resident platypus is out and about! If you'd like your time recorded and are not yet a parkrunner, register in advance at www.parkrun.com.au and save your barcode or print it out. Even if you don't register, you're still very welcome to run or walk with us.

The Arve Road follows the valley of the Arve River in Tasmania's South, with its wet eucalypt rainforest. Along the road there are short walks ranging from a brief stroll to a 40-minute return walk. All walks are well signed. The drive is an excellent way to get from Geeveston to the Tahune Airwalk as it gives a great insight into the history of the forest, not to mention plenty of opportunities to stop for a walk, lookout or picnic.

The Geeveston Art Exhibition was launched in 2015 to showcase the work of local talent within the Huon Valley. In 2021 we changed the name to the Geeveston Art Show. The Geeveston Art Show celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025! We showcase the very best that the Artisans of the Huon Valley have to offer, and we cover a broad variety of styles and mediums including Works on Canvas or Board, Works on Paper, 3D designs, and Ceramics, Textiles and we have multiple generalist awards as well. In 2025 we launched a photography division for the first time and also ran an affordable art sale! All adult artwork is for sale and you may even get to meet the artists! There are also interactive elements to the show that will allow everyone to engage with space and hopefully explore some new hobbies via the Artist Development Programme.
