The Salamanca Battery Point Apartments are situated behind the original sandstone warehouses, appointed with two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, and balcony with barbecue. On Saturday morning, Salamanca Place comes alive with the colourful outdoor Salamanca Market. Please note these apartments are stair access only, with no elevator at the premises.

The two bathrooms make it ideal for two couples and there is a full sized gourmet kitchen and balcony over Salamanca Place. Apartment has complimentary broadband access and car parking. Salamanca Battery Point apartment features two bedrooms, one bathroom, full-sized gourmet kitchens and full size fridge/freezer. All apartments are stair access only, with no lift or elevator at the property.

Narryna - The merchant's house

Hobart

Narryna was built by merchant, Captain Andrew Haig in 1835-40. Haig had previously built Salamanca Place's earliest warehouses. Located at the gateway to Battery Point, Narryna's architecture, interiors, collection and garden provide a rich experience of early colonial life in Tasmania. Ask about our group booking rate and joint ticket with Markree House and Garden, located 200 metres from Narryna and offering insights into Hobart life of the 1920s.

Take a horse drawn carriage tour past the historic sandstone buildings of Salamanca Place, passing by Parliament House and over to the IXL building and cruise ship terminals. Waterfront jaunts last for around 30 minutes. You'll get a wonderful view of Mt Wellington as it looms over the city and also see the bustling waterfront up close. As we drive past a Hobart institution, Mures, make sure you wave to all the bystanders! You'll learn how the Hobart waterfront of today is much different to the 1800s and why IXL was such a big part of that change. A really great tour for families and a wonderful evening tour. The lights of the city are truly magical.
