At Spring Bay Distillery you will find a craft distillery on Tasmania's East Coast specialising in award winning Single Malt Whisky, Gin and Vodka. They use the location of the distillery to maximum advantage to blend the spirits with some of the sweetest waters available. They collect rainwater from the roof of the distillery and filter out any impurities except the salt influence from Spring Bay that lands on the distillery daily. Being by the sea, the influence of this sea salt makes the water sweet and round in the mouth and combining this with the maturation of our barrels in the salt air we hope that our coastal style will be captured in our bottles. They offer tastings at the most picturesque locations, in the company of maturing whisky barrels and our gin still, 'Beauty'. A short drive from the township of Orford, the lookout is up an unsealed local hill road with two great vistas at the top of the mountain. Glorious views of maria Island and its surrounds. A variety of flowering native plants at different times of the year. Great photo opportunities. A nice place to sit and eat a picnic lunch with ample parking and a hut for shelter.

South East Charters offers tailored half or full day game, estuary or deep sea fishing tours departing from Orford, Dunalley or Eaglehawk Neck. All fishing equipment is supplied. All tours operate subject to weather conditions. Tours depart around 7 am to 7.30 am and return around 1.30 pm or 3.30 pm. Meals are not included.
