The Working Art Space is used as an art workshop and gallery by artists from Working Art Space. (WASS) It is located at 5-6 High Street Sheffield. It is adjacent to King George V Park and is a thriving hub of local arts-related activity. The workshop is housed in a heritage-listed former drill hall built-in 1912 for the 22nd Light Horse Company. The interior of the building has been adapted as an arts-based workshop and part-time gallery where you can enrol in one of the regularly held workshops. If you take the self-guided audio tour of Sheffield's murals, which can be arranged through the Sheffield Visitor Information Centre, you will eventually find yourself at the Albert Gallery because it boasts its own mural with a fitting theme - an old man reminiscing on his youth as a Light Horseman. You can access the gallery by road or by strolling along the Mosaic Pathway, created by WASS members, which crosses King George V Park.
