The Pondering Frog Ice Creamery and RV Stop is located ten minutes south of Bicheno and 400 metres from the Coles Bay turnoff. Our RV Camp is for fully self contained vehicles, pet friendly, has potable water, rubbish bins and gas refills available. Donation only. Flat sites, easy access and a children's playground with a large frog slide. Access to the cafe toilets during trading hours. The cafe offers all-day breakfast, morning tea, lunch, and dinner by appointment. Famous for our hand crafted ice creams, seafood chowder, garlic prawns and much more. Something for everyone including a kids menu. There are friendly goats and an alpaca in the paddocks surrounding us. Our visitor information section is well stocked with maps and brochures and time permitting we develop a personal itinerary for you. We are located on the gateway to the Freycinet National Park, only 30 minutes to the Wineglass Bay Walk, Cape Lighthouse. Centrally located our RV stop is 30 minutes from Swansea passing all our famous East Coast wineries.

Craigie Knowe Vineyard is a working vineyard and cellar door, set on 20 hectares, with 5 hectares under vine. It is the oldest vineyard on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. The homestead was built in 1836 and is one of the most photographed houses in Tasmania. Please note Hipcamp charge an additional charge on top of the $25.00. Please look at our website for options. The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers! We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you.
