Now it's coming to Lutruwita/Tasmania... Bring a book. They'll handle the rest. Come alone, with a mate, or with your kid. Half the room usually comes solo, and that's the point. Stay for a chat afterwards, or keep reading. Spread out, get comfortable and enjoy an afternoon of reading, quiet community, and an amazing live ambient performance designed for your listening pleasure by guest musical artists. Here's how it works: bring whatever you're reading (or borrow something from our mini library), find a spot to lounge, and read in the same room as everyone else for a couple of hours. No book club discussion, no small talk required, no pressure - just the simple, slightly rebellious pleasure of reading with strangers instead of alone. There's time to chat at the end, or you can just keep reading.

This property has just had an amazing renovation and extension to the rear of the property not noticeable from the front. Omaroo House is located on the edge of the CBD within the Heritage precinct of Hobart's top-rated suburb West Hobart and is only a five to ten-minute walk to the city, Salamanca and Constitution Dock. At the front of the house, there is a lounge room to get away from the kids that sits next to the main bedroom. There is a lovely open lounge, dining and kitchen area with stunning panoramic views of the Derwent River and hills. You will see yachts racing a couple of days of the week and cruise ships regularly in the warmer months. The new kitchen is spacious, fully equipped with a Microwave, Gas Cook Top and dishwasher, the dining table seats six. There is a BBQ and as the deck is covered it can be used all year round.
