The Picker's Hut is a luxury cabin perched dramatically above the Jordan Valley in southern Tasmania, just 40 minutes from Hobart. With one Queen bedroom and one King bedroom (which can be arranged as two singles), the hut provides exceptional comfort for up to four guests. The Picker’s Hut was designed to capture the essence of the natural landscape - huge windows in every room provide a panoramic view of the vineyard and the valley. The north-facing location and a huge outdoor deck capture the beautiful all-day sun. You can sit by the cosy stone fireplace and admire the vines, or relax on the deck and take in the unique landscape of the valley and see if you can spot the farm workers herding sheep or ploughing paddocks.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site.

Tea Tree Farm is just 30 minutes from Hobart and only 10 minutes from the famous historic township of Richmond, with the Midland Highway just a few minutes away. They offer space for fully self-contained caravans or campers to set up beside our creek, which is dry around 90% of the year. The site is private and cannot be seen from the road. They are a busy family of six with many animals—horses, sheep, chickens, cats, and dogs—all much-loved pets.
